A hand building class is for both those new to clay or hand building and those who have past experience. The beginners learn the basic skills – a different one each week along with a project to practice the skill. Those who have experience may follow along with the beginners or work with the teacher to develop new skills, enhance surface decoration of the pots. Students will learn the basics of handbuilt pottery, such as making slabs, coil building, and pinch pots. Classes start the week of September 1 and go for 10 weeks. The last class is the week of November 2.
